OCDB is intended to offer a convenient, intuitive interface to create an online database of one's cd collection and, going a little further, to yield insightful information on the overlaps between creators, labels, genres, etc. OCDB will be offered in complaiance with the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).

OCDB is currently in development on Fedora Core 1 Linux; but ought to work identically on other distributions. Initially intended for local installations only, version 1.0 will introduce a central online database to which one can login and import their own collections, in order to obtain wider varieties of information and increase the insightfulness of that yielded by comparison/contrasts of individual works and genres. Other information is currently being considered for inclusion - instruments, countries of origin, etc.
